All Provence in One Day

  • Start the day by visiting the Pont du Gard, a stunning aqueduct bridge built by the Romans during the 1st century AD. It has been listed as a World Unesco Monument Sites since 1985.
  • You will head for Les Baux de Provence, a medieval village built on a rocky spur. It is ranked among the most beautiful Provence villages located in the picturesque countryside of the Alpilles hillrange.
  • In St Remy de Provence, you will stop to discover the Roman monuments (a triumphal arch and a funeral monument), known as well to be the location where Van Gogh painted some of his most beautiful paintings.
  • Go ahead your visit of Provence with the area of The Luberon, seeing Gordes and Roussillon, which are 2 other villages classified as the most beautiful villages in France.
    Gordes is known to be perched on a rock. Your free time will give you the opportunity to walk in its narrow cobbled streets and to see the dry stones, typical from the Luberon called « lauzes ».
    Roussillon is famous for its natural red and yellow ochre cliffs and for the red colour of the houses in the village.
  • From mid June to mid July , photo stop at Senanque Abbey to discover the lavender field in bloom. The asset of your Provence trip is to know everything about lavender. That is why you will spend time in the Lavender museum to learn about lavender and to see old machinery dedicated to produce the essential oil (entrance fee included)

From mid june to mid july , no visit of the lavender museum, it will be replaced by the photo stop at the Abbaye of Senanque.

Provençal market in Gordes on Tuesday, in Saint Rémy de Provence on Wednesday, in Roussillon on Thursday and in L'Isle sur la Sorgue on Sunday.
The order of visits will then change accordingly.
