Be surprise by the perched villages in the Luberon, classified among the most beautiful villages in the country. Be amaze with the 2 000 years old Roman remains.
During the stay, travel through the landscapes made with olive trees and vines. Discover the most famous symbol of Provence : the lavender.
A real discovery of Provence go through the local flavours : experience provencal recipes during a cooking class, taste the Tavel & Chateauneuf du Pape wines and sample traditional sweets.

    Day 1

    Cooking Class

    • Pick up at Avignon train station and private transfer to the guest house in Tavel. This authentic provençal « mas » is located in the middle of the wine-producing village. The home design and the sound of the cicadas will immediately welcome in our lovely Provence.
    • You will enjoy the local perfums and scents during the cooking class and savor your creations.

    Day 2

    Culture and wine

    • popes palace avignonAppreciate a half-day excursion to discover the Côte du Rhône wines. You will know everything about wines thanks to a sightseeing tour through the vineyards, explanations and tastings. On Mondays and Thursdays, the tour includes stops at 2 different wineries in Châteauneuf du Pape while on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, the tour includes one winery in Châteauneuf-du-Pape and also the entrance ticket to the Roman Theater in Orange.
    • You will have your afternoon at leisure in Avignon. Take your time to visit the Popes’ Palace, largest gothic palace in Europe and the Pont d’Avignon, famous for the French song. Enjoy a tasting of different sweets provencal specialities (biscuits, candies...) in a local shop. Private transfer to Tavel. Dinner at your guest house.

    Day 3

    Day at leisure in Tavel

    • tavel rose wine villageStroll around the streets of the picturesque village of Tavel. Admire the local architecture made with « lauzes » (limestone of the region). Appreciate the district of the gardens from the Revolution period, the beautiful 19th century washtub or the cooperative winery labelled « Heritage of the 20th century ».
    • Tavel is famous for the rosé wine. Do not hesitate to discover them better, such as the Côtes du Rhône or Lirac AOC, by having a tasting at « Les Vignerons de Tavel ».
    • Dinner at the guest house.

    Day 4

    All Provence in one day

    • pont du gardToday you will discover everything characteristic of Provence : perched villages, Roman remains and the lavender. The 2nd century B.C. corresponds to the arrival of the romans in Provence and they left us amazing remains. The Pont du Gard, classified by the UNESCO is one of the most well-preserved acqueduct from the roman time.
    • Driving to join the Alpilles, we'll see other remains such as the Triomph Arch and the Mausoleum in St Rémy de Provence. A free time in les Baux de Provence will give you the opportunity to visit this medieval eagle nest.
    • The Luberon will show you other hilltop villages such as Gordes and its dry stones or Roussillon and its ochre cliffs.
    • The visit of the Lavender museum will end the day. From mid June to mid July, instead of the museum you will stop at Senanque Abbey to see the beautiful lavender field in bloom.
    • On Sunday only, enjoy L’Isle sur la Sorgue, village famous for antique dealers and the tradicional market.
    • Dinner on your own.

    Day 5

    End of the stay

    • 11.00 am : transfer to Avignon TGV Station (train must leave at around 12.30 pm or after).
    • End of our services.

    • Enjoy a private half-day tour to discover the wines of Mont Ventoux AOP : learn the techniques in a professional tasting room.
    • Visit of the cellar from the fermenting to the bottling room. Sample 'Côtes de Ventoux' wines and olive oil at the winery.
    • Walk through the vineyards.
    • Then, enjoy a free time in the charming village of Beaumes de Venise (lunch on your own).
