Day 1

Marseille

  • Holding your City Pass, feel free to visit and discover what sounds best to you in the Phocean City. As soon as you get your Pass at the Tourist information center, it will allow you a 24h long unlimited access to various activites: jump on the touristic train, go for a boat ride to reach the Frioul islands or Chateau d'If, have a cultural break and discover museums, enjoy tastings and get free samples in various stores (biscuit factory, delicatessen, gift shops...).
  • Accommodation close by the Vieux Port.

Day 2

Cassis

  • Morning dedicated to the exploration of Marseille with the City Pass that you started the day before.
  • At 1.00 pm, meet your guide for a half day minibus tour. Start your tour with Cassis, little fishermen village with its charming harbour that is probably the most beautiful part of the village. There, possibility to join a 45-minute cruise to discover 3 of the breathtaking Calanques (ticket not included). You will then drive to Marseille for a panoramic tour of the Phocean city. Appreciate a photo stop at Notre-Dame La Garde Basilica and admire the exceptional view on the city, the Frioul Islands and If Castle. Drive on the Corniche Road, symbol of holiday and outward sign of wealth for merchants and bourgeois from the 19th century who let built elegant private mansions. End your tour with a photo stop at Saint-Victor Abbey dating from the 11th century that keeps the entry of the Vieux Port.
  • In the evening, enjoy a semi gastronomic dinner (first and second course, cheese, desert) in a restaurant located on the rooftop of the Mucem, with a stunning view on the port and the Mediterranean see. In a modern and refined setting with an outstanding panoramic view on Marseille you will savor the cuisine of chef Gérard Passédat, key figure of the local gastronomy.
